KS4 GCSE Geography

Pupils study the WJEC specification for Geography, where the content is structured around key questions, lending itself to an enquiry approach which includes a fieldwork exam. The two-year course is split in to six themes;

 

· Unit 1 Landscapes and Physical Processes

· Unit 2 Rural-Urban Links

· Unit 3 Coastal Hazards and their management

· Unit 4 Weather Climate and Ecosystems

· Unit 5 Development and Resource Issues

· Unit 6 Social Development

 

These are examined at the end of Year 11, with the additional fieldwork exam taken in the November.
