Introducing YMLAEN Charitable Trust: Empowering Pupil Wellbeing and Education

Introducing YMLAEN Charitable Trust: Empowering Pupil Wellbeing and Education

Registered Charity No: 1199553

We are thrilled to present YMLAEN, a new dynamic organisation driven by a deep commitment to supporting the wellbeing and education of our pupils. Our first project, which marks the beginning of our journey, aims to raise funds for the construction of an outdoor sensory learning area for the students of Canolfan Elfed, a dedicated inclusion centre within our wider school community of Queen Elizabeth High School. However, our vision extends far beyond this single endeavour.

As the first project of our Trust, this outdoor sensory learning area holds immense significance. It not only addresses an immediate need for an improved space but also serves as a stepping stone towards our long-term goal of funding and supporting a range of initiatives within the wider school community. By successfully completing this project, we will establish a strong foundation that enables us to pursue future projects and make a lasting impact on the lives of our pupils.

We understand the importance of creating an inclusive and engaging environment that enhances the educational experience of our students. The current area, deemed unfit for purpose and falling short of safety standards, has been demolished to make way for a new, versatile space that caters to the unique needs of Canolfan Elfed's pupils. Through the generous support of sponsors, grants, and community fundraising, we aspire to create a multi-purpose area that not only meets the highest safety standards but also provides an enriching learning environment.

With this ambitious project, we aim to raise approximately £275,000 and set a precedent for future initiatives. By rallying together as a community, we can lay the groundwork for the future that will benefit the wider school community and contribute to the holistic development of our pupils. Our Trustees, driven by a shared passion for empowering young minds, are dedicated to steering the Trust towards a future where no educational opportunity is left unexplored.

Join us on this transformative journey as we embark on our first project and build the framework to support future initiatives within our wider school community. Together, we can create an environment that nurtures the wellbeing of our pupils, advances their education, and paves the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
