BTEC ICT Level 3 - Useful Information

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in ICT is a two year qualification equivalent to one A level.

Designed to support pupils who have an interest in the computer sector through the variety of tasks.

Pupils will study 4 units:

  • 3 are mandatory (2 externally assessed)
  • 1 optional
  • 33% external written examination

Course Outline: 

Learners must complete:

  • 3 mandatory units
  • (At least) 1 optional unit

2. Creating Systems to Manage Information

3. Using Social media in Business
