Ethos, Values and Vision

Our core value lies in nurturing every learner, irrespective of background or ability, to help them reach their full potential.

At Queen Elizabeth High School, we take pride in extending a warm welcome to all. The school is a safe, secure and nurturing environment, where positive relationships are prioritised.

Emotion coaching techniques and trauma informed awareness underpin our positive behaviour policy. The simple yet effective rules of ‘3Rs -Respect, Responsibility and Relationships’ and ‘3As - Attitude, Attendance and Attainment’ are embedded throughout the school community.

We take our role and responsibility of a school at the heart of our community very seriously. We are committed to crafting a comprehensive curriculum and providing enriching experiences to prepare our students for life beyond the classroom. Guided by our motto, "Ymlaen Gyda’n Gilydd/Moving Forward Together," we champion collective progress, ensuring students, staff, and parents advance hand in hand towards success.

Our nurturing ethos is focussed on a sense of social inclusion and community.
Embracing diversity, we cultivate a culture of tolerance, respect, and care, fostering an environment where achievement is celebrated and integrity is paramount. Our aim is to equip each student with essential skills—numeracy, literacy, and curiosity—through a dynamic curriculum tailored to their needs and aspirations.

Central to our identity is prioritizing the wellbeing of our community, with robust support systems in place to nurture every individual. We place immense value on student and parent feedback, integrating "pupil voice" into our decision-making processes. Queen Elizabeth High remains a beacon of happiness and compassion, where every member feels valued and supported on their journey of growth and learning.
